Description: In this research work was compared the quality of life and the coping in strategies in 40 patients with chronic renal failure undergoing hemodialysis in the Clinical DIALTICA, taking account the age, sex, their studies, marital status, professions, treatment´s time, associated pathologies and their influence in the daily life. The instruments employed in this investigation were a sociodemographic record, the quality´s proof of life of Kidney Disease Quality of Life Short Form (KDQOL – SFTM), where by this record was obtained these main aspects such as: physical health (67,5%), mental and emotional health (72,5%), social help (87,5%) and satisfaction with the attention and help from the Medical team (74,5%) represent the parameter with high score; and cognitive function (7,5%), illness burden (45%), sexual function (45%) these are the parameter with the lowest scores, with these results was determined that this group of patients has a good quality of life; furthermore, this research work helps us to propone guidelines for a planned, integrated and focused on the problems of the patient to improve their quality of life care.
Se comparó la calidad de vida y las estrategias de afrontamiento en 40 pacientes con Insuficiencia Renal Crónica sometidos a hemodiálisis en la Clínica DIALTICA, teniendo en cuenta la edad, sexo, escolaridad, estado civil, ocupación, tiempo de tratamiento, patologías asociadas y su influencia en el diario vivir. Los instrumentos utilizados fueron una ficha sociodemográfica, la prueba de calidad de vida Kidney Desease Quality of Life Short Form (KDQOL – SFTM), mediante la cual se obtuvo que los aspectos principales como: Salud Física (67,5%), Salud Mental y Emocional (72,5%), Apoyo Social (87,5%) y satisfacción con la atención y apoyo del Equipo Médico del (74,5%) representan los parámetros con mayor puntaje; y, Función Cognitiva (7,5%), Carga de la Enfermedad (45%), Función Sexual (45%) son los parámetros con las puntuaciones más bajas, con estos resultados se determina que este grupo de pacientes poseen una buena calidad de vida, además nos ayuda a plantear directrices sobre un cuidado más planificado, integral y enfocado en la problemática del paciente para mejorar su calidad de vida.
