Abstract

This research is aimed at determining the tourism potential of Santa Isabel to design a tourist route that allows rescuing the cultural identity of sustained, and exploit the potential of the area. The methodological study comprises an investigation of exploratory and descriptive, because it is based on knowledge of the reality in which the tourist activity in the area is developed, and the descriptive analysis based on the opinion of the owners of tourism businesses that currently exist. In general it is concluded that Santa Isabel has considerable tourism potential with natural , archaeological and cultural attractions that are not being utilized , the main barrier neglect of public entities, albeit, they have raised a number of strategies , but they are not put into practice . For this reason , it has been proposed as given to these problems , a tourist route that includes the most important attractions of the parish of St. Elizabeth , so that it can benefit the communities of tourist activity , either directly participating in it or related areas.
