La cadena de custodia y su importancia en la criminalística

Abstract

The issue of chain of custody and its importance in the crime, is a transcendental subject as the proper handling of chain guards, is based on the principle of authenticity of physical evidence found at the scene, the success of the research depends on how is given the proper handling of the physical evidence found at the scene of the crime, the new system of investigation and trial of the wrongful acts should be respecting due process, which entails strict respect for constitutional guarantees of a person subject to criminal proceedings, therefore it is very important the evidence and will rely on it the success of the criminal proceedings within the Criminology. In the present work, study the etymology of chain of custody and the crime, their definitions, is studied to the chain of custody from their historical antecedents, the crime in the world, stages of the chain of custody and the Criminalistic, elements of the chain of custody, the auxiliary Sciences of the Criminalistics, the methodology of the criminalistics.
