Estudio de viabilidad y sostenibilidad técnica, de infraestructura y humano para la implementación de un modelo de atención en Telemedicina y Telesalud rural en la provincia de Zamora Chinchipe, durante el 2013

Abstract

The present investigation, a feasibility and sustainability study was conducted from a technical viewpoint, infrastructure and human through observation and interviews in the five operating units Palanda canton in the province of Zamora Chinchipe in order to implement a model of Telemedicine care and rural Telehealth. To perform the data collection surveys for both health workers and the population, as well as a record of observation with regard to infrastructure, the operating units of Valladolid, Palanda, San Francisco del Vergel, La Canela and El Porvenir, were applied. As results were obtained that only the operational area Palanda they are in capacity, technical and physical infrastructure to apply a model of Telemedicine care and rural Telehealth. It is possible that in the not too distant future, the operational area of Valladolid parish to have internet service and so join the project network.
