Análisis de conflictos socioambientales en Las Orquídeas (caso Zurmi)

Abstract

This investigative work is the result of the interest of the existing problems in the parish the orchids of the canton Zhurmi of the Zamora-Chinchipe province, in terms of pollution, its causes, effects and its impact on the population. This research existing in this neighborhood socio-environmental conflicts, analyzes them essentially affecting water, fauna and flora of the sector. The mining is done in the craft area and its dimension is small, but compared to the number of inhabitants of this community damages are extremely serious. It is worth mentioning that this inquiry, is intended to provide a significant contribution through a sociological, carried out analysis of the information provided by the focal group, which allowed to determine the main shortcomings and needs of this community in contradiction of current policies, plans and key projects, in strict respect for the rights of good living or Sumak Kawsay. The optimum research development, methods, techniques and instruments of research, aimed at the realization of a survey of information adequate and reliable were used.
