La literariedad visual en los libros álbumes de Francisco Delgado Santos

Abstract

The main purpose of this work is to analize the visual literature, image/ text relationship of the four books of ecuadorian writer Francisco Delgado Santos: " Taca tac-tan", "Natalia's dreams", "When monsters attack", and "My Friend, Grandpa", with the main objective of discovering its diagramation and its categories of interaction in which these two elements relate. In order to to analize the relationshiop between the images and the texts by means of observation, using the Nikolajeva and Scott categories system. The result evidently show a predominance in the relationship with simmetry, where text and illustrations depicts the same; the use of direct style in his narrative, the comic and childish style in his illustrations. We conclude that in this format for books, the predominant relationship should be the counterpointing and contradiction, since these are the essentials of the album book. We recommend go to deeper in this style of visual literature.
