Análisis de las fuentes y redacción de la Historia de la Comunicación de la provincia de Pichincha en el período 1845 - 1875

Abstract

This research "Analysis of the Sources and Writing of the History of Communication of the Pichincha province during the period 1845-1875", is part at the national research program and graduation of the "History of Communication of Ecuador", implemented by Loja Particular Technical University (UTPL) to obtained the Bachelor's Degree in Social Communication. In this investigation the first idea is to collect and contrast information, between the primary an secondary sources of mass media, during the period 1845-1875 of the Pichincha province, existing in UTPL digital matrix, at the same time, this research provides to the digital matrix of UTPL new information from books, newspapers, and flyers, found in the main newspaper and periodicals library of Pichincha and other provinces. Also performed an analysis in the national context about the role that these mass media carried through with the social, political, economical and cultural history of the Republic of Ecuador during this period. And finally in this research performed the analysis of valuable writings of important journalists of that age like Juan Montalvo, Pedro Moncayo and the relation that exist between the power and the media.
