Abstract:	The road infrastructure has been developed to such a degree as to constitute new specializations, and since in our country specialized information in the field of pavements for roads are very dispersed, it has been considered necessary to develop a certification program in "TECHNICAL COMPETENCES OF LABORATORY IN SOIL MECHANICS "to effectively control by tests the acceptance or not, of the materials used in the construction. The teaching - learning process aimed at professionals in training, emphasizes that the contribution of a Certification of Technical Competencies of Laboratorista in Soil Mechanics is significant, transformative and protagonist of a model that allows the incorporation of the human resource to the productive activity. In view of this, the PARTICULAR TECHNICAL UNIVERSITY OF SHOP - UTPL and the GEOMINERA - UCG CIVIL UNIT, have considered it convenient to draw up a Road Certification Program - PCV, in which professionals of high scientific, technical and humanistic Creative capacity and critical vision regarding the knowledge, norms and specifications required in the road field. This Certification has been designed to recognize and assure the technical competence of the personnel dedicated to activities related to road works and thus contribute in the improvement of the quality of said works
Description:	La infraestructura vial se ha desarrollado a tal grado de constituir nuevas especializaciones, y dado que en nuestro medio la información especializada en el campo de los pavimentos para carreteras se encuentran muy dispersa, se ha considerado necesario elaborar un programa de certificación en, "COMPETENCIAS TÉCNICAS DE LABORATORISTA EN MECÁNICA DE SUELOS" para controlar en forma efectiva mediante ensayos la aceptación o no, de los materiales utilizados en la construcción. El proceso de enseñanza - aprendizaje dirigido a los profesionales en formación, destaca que el aporte de una Certificación de Competencias Técnicas de Laboratorista en Mecánica de Suelos es significativo, transformador y protagonista de un modelo que permite la incorporación del recurso humano a la actividad productiva. En vista de ello, la UNIVERSIDAD TÉCNICA PARTICULAR DE LOJA - U.T.P.L y la UNIDAD CIVIL GEOMINERA - U.C.G, han creído conveniente la elaboración de un Programa de Certificación Vial - PCV, en el que se forme profesionales de alta calidad científica, técnica y humanística con capacidad creadora y visión crítica en cuanto a los conocimientos, normas y especificaciones requeridos en el campo vial. Esta Certificación ha sido diseñada para reconocer y asegurar la competencia técnica del personal dedicado a actividades relacionadas con obras viales y así aportar en el mejoramiento de la calidad de dichas obras
