| Abstract: | This research explores students' motivation to learn English. The main objective of this research is to know more deeply the perceptions of the students in relation to their motivation to learn English in the classroom. The research was carried out in the city of Calceta-Chone Ecuador, in the Aristos Educational Unit. The sample included 100 students between 12 and 16 years old belonging to 8th, 9th, 10th and 1st year of high school and 5 teachers. Quantitative and qualitative methods were used to carry out this research, this study allowed to know firsthand the difficulties that the students have to learn a new language. Different methods were used by the teachers to involve the students in the different activities that were proposed. |
| Description: | La presente investigación explora la Motivación de los estudiantes para aprender inglés. El objetivo principal de esta investigación es conocer más a fondo las percepciones de los estudiantes en relación a su motivación para aprender inglés dentro del aula. La investigación se llevó a cabo en la ciudad de Calceta-Chone Ecuador, en la Unidad Educativa Aristos. La muestra incluyó 100 estudiantes entre 12 y 16 años de edad pertenecientes a 8vo, 9no, 10mo y 1ero de bachillerato y 5 profesores. Métodos cuantitativos y cualitativos fueron usados para llevar a cabo esta investigación, este estudio permitió conocer de primera mano las dificultades que los alumnos tienen para aprender un nuevo idioma. Diferentes métodos fueron utilizados por los profesores para involucrar a los estudiantes en las diferentes actividades que se propusieron. |
