Alternativas de diseño para la obra de captación del proyecto de riego Zapotillo

Abstract

The Canton Zapotillo is located in the south western end of the province of Loja. It borders on the north with the Celica and Pindal cantons, on the south with the Republic of Peru, on the east with the Republic of Peru and the Macará canton, on the west with the Republic of Peru, its coordinates are: 04 ° 15 'and 040 29' Latitude south and 800 22'15 "and 80 ° 23'36" longitude west (landmark Alamor). The main rivers that are in this zone are: the river Alamor that crosses transversely the zone of Zapotillo of north to the south, the river Chira that takes this name from the union of the river Catamayo with the Macará, to about 3 km of the Potrerillos neighborhood, the Puyango river that originates in the Chilla and Cisne ranges and runs from East to West, its surface is 1215 km2 1, with a population density of 8 inhabitants per square kilometer. The climate of the project is determined by the marked influence of the Humboldt cold current. Whose masses of dry air make their entrance through the Chira river basin, characterizing the sectors affected by the presence of desert conditions.
