Abstract

Human settlements near rivers have the benefit of water that is necessary for their subsistence, but they are at risk of flooding, which is a disadvantage. The city of Loja is vulnerable to flooding, which is why it has been settled In this valley has had to make different works of protection to control the growing of the different channels, being implanted such works in the two main rivers that cross the city. As a region develops, urban growth is evident. This is how the city of Loja has become a market transfer station in the south of the country, for this reason the development that is experienced today is having a very significant increase and this can be seen in the great construction of solutions Housing that are being given by different builders of the city.
