Abstract: The objective of the following final work of titillation was determine the 5-years overall survival after the surgical and clinic treatment, in the patients with invasive thyroid cancer diagnosed in SOLCA Loja in the 2007 through of review of clinic histories. The study type used in this final work of titillation was descriptive, retrospective and transversal. The analyzed of the clinic histories of 28 patients show that were a higher survival in the patients diagnosed of papillary cancer of thyroid 85% besides these was the most common cancer 71%. The thyroid cancer has more prevalence in women 68,57% and affect the patients in 25-44 years old, the survival according the stage was: 3: 94%, 4A: 33%, 4C:20%, the most used treatment was the surgical + iodine therapy 61%. The conclusion is that the diagnostic of thyroid cancer is delayed in most patients (stage 3 and 4) it hinder the treatment and affect the survival
Description: El Presente trabajo de fin de titulación determinó la supervivencia global a 5 años, luego del tratamiento quirúrgico y clínico, en los pacientes con cáncer invasivo de tiroides diagnosticado en SOLCA Loja en el año 2007 mediante revisión de historias clínicas. El tipo de estudio realizado en el siguiente trabajo de fin de titulación fue descriptivo, retrospectivo y transversal. Se analizaron 28 pacientes en los que se pudo observar que existe una mayor sobrevida en los pacientes diagnosticados de cáncer papilar 85% además este es el más común 71%. El cáncer de tiroides tiene una mayor prevalencia en mujeres 78.57% y afecta más a las edades comprendidas entre los de 25-44, la sobrevida según el estadio fue: 3: 94% 4A: 33% 4C:20%, en lo que respecta al tratamiento encontramos que el manejo más frecuente fue quirúrgico más yodo terapia con un 61% La conclusión es que el diagnóstico de cáncer de tiroides por lo general es tardío (estadio 3 y 4) lo que dificulta el tratamiento y afecta a la supervivencia
