| Abstract: | This is a descriptive, retrospective and cross-sectional study carried out in a sample of 30 patients. The sociodemographic characteristics, type of cancer,staging,Gleason, treatment and 5-year survival of patients with invasive prostate cancer diagnosed in 2007 at the SOLCA Loja cancer institute by reviewing medical records. Obtained as results: average age of 75.03 years DV (standard deviation) +/- 11.9 years. 39% of patients treated with hormone deprivation, 32% surgical treatment,19% radiotherapy and 10% of palliative care patients. Survival at 5 years varied with respect to the risk group, being for the low risk group: 100%, intermediate risk group: 89% and high risk group: 95.5% |
| Description: | Es Estudio descriptivo, retrospectivo y transversal realizado en una muestra de 30 pacientes, registrándose de ellos las características sociodemográficas, tipo de cáncer, estadiaje, Gleason, tratamiento y supervivencia a 5 años, teniendo como objetivo determinar la supervivencia de pacientes con cáncer invasivo de próstata diagnosticados en el año 2007 en el instituto del cáncer SOLCA Loja mediante revisión de historias clínicas. Obteniéndose como resultados: edad promedio de 75.03 años DV (desviación estándar) +/- 11.9 años. 39% de los pacientes tratados con deprivación hormonal, el 32% tratamiento quirúrgico, el 19% radioterapia y un 10% de los pacientes cuidados paliativos. La supervivencia a 5 años varió respecto al grupo de riesgo, siendo para el grupo de riesgo bajo: 100%, grupo de riesgo intermedio: 89% y grupo de riesgo alto: 95.5%. |
