| Abstract: | This socio-legal study refers to the most relevant studies of the working life of the lawyer in the free professional practice. It consists of three chapters, in the first a theoretical framework is presented, in which, firstly, research is undertaken on the stratification of the legal profession in Ecuador, covering topics such as education, employment and income. We then investigate legal education in Ecuador, to find out if it meets the quality standards defined by state and international accreditation bodies. We also investigate the paradigms that condition legal education in the country, dealing with issues such as: formalism, antiformalism and legal positivism. We also investigated the intensity of the political participation of lawyers and what characterizes the various fields of free professional practice, the current situation and the constitutional culture of lawyers in Ecuador. The second chapter lists the materials and methods, which indicate the type of tools to be used, indicate the population and the sample selected and also in this space sets the objectives, hypotheses and research questions. | Description: | En este estudio socio-jurídico se hace referencia a los estudios más relevantes de la vida laboral del Abogado en el libre ejercicio profesional. Consta de tres capítulos, en el primero se expone un marco teórico, en el cual, en primer lugar se investiga acerca de la estratificación de la profesión jurídica en el Ecuador, topando temas como: la educación, el empleo, los ingresos. Seguidamente investigamos acerca de la educación jurídica en Ecuador, para saber si cumple con los estándares de calidad definidos por los órganos estatales e internacionales de acreditación. Investigamos también sobre los paradigmas que condicionan la educación jurídica en el país, topando temas como: formalismo, antiformalismo y positivismo jurídico. También se investigó acerca de la intensidad con la que se desarrolla la participación política de los abogados y lo que caracteriza a los diversos campos del libre ejercicio profesional, la situación actual y la cultura constitucional de los abogados en Ecuador. En el capítulo segundo se enuncia los materiales y métodos, donde se señala el tipo de herramientas a emplear, se indica la población y la muestra seleccionada y además en este espacio se fija los objetivos, hipótesis y preguntas de investigación.
