| Abstract: | In this research the mathematical behavior of seismic events is analyzed, the study focused on the provinces of Napo and Esmeraldas, and with the record of seismic activity of each province indicate whether there is a correlation between the variables of magnitude and depth. However, it was determined that the largest earthquakes originate in depths less than 25 km, considering surface earthquakes and those that have had the greatest impact in the country. |
| Description: | En esta investigación se analiza el comportamiento matemático de eventos sísmicos, el estudio se enfocó en las provincias de Napo y Esmeraldas, y con el registro de actividad sísmica de cada provincia indicar si existe correlación entre las variables de magnitud y profundidad. Sin embargo, se determinó que los sismos de mayor magnitud se originan en profundidades menores a los 25 km, considerándose sismos superficiales y los que mayor impacto han causado en el País. |
