Abstract: Abstract: 3D bioprinting of organs and tissues using the body&amp;#39;s own stem cells is a groundbreaking concept in regenerative medicine. This is because it can create structures that are compatible with the body and function properly. This review of studies sought to analyze the advances, challenges, and trends regarding bioprinting materials, printing techniques, cell survival, and the level of technological advancement. The research followed the PRISMA method, in conjunction with the Publish and Perish software, and considered approximately 400 scientific studies published between 2016 and 2026. VOSviewer was used for bibliometric analysis of the data. The results showed that natural and hybrid materials are preferred for bioprinting. Mesenchymal stem cells and extrusion printing techniques were also widely used. Furthermore, it was observed that there is increasing research in this area. However, there are still technical and regulatory issues hindering its widespread clinical use. 3D bioprinting of organs and tissues is a growing field. More studies are needed to overcome the challenges and realize its benefits.

Abstract: Abstract: The intensive use of agrochemicals has contributed to increasing agricultural productivity; however, it has also raised concerns due to its adverse effects on the environment and human health. The objective of this study was to review and systematize the scientific evidence regarding the consequences of pesticide use on the environment, soil biota, food, and human health. The research was conducted through a literature review using the PSALSAR approach, complemented by the PRISMA 2020 guidelines, through the identification, selection, and analysis of scientific articles retrieved from indexed databases. The results allowed the classification of the main types of pesticides according to their active ingredients, formulations, mechanisms of action, and toxicological categories. In addition, significant impacts on soil, water, air, and biodiversity were identified, as well as the presence of pesticide residues in food and their association with neurological, respiratory, endocrine, and carcinogenic disorders in exposed populations. It is concluded that the inappropriate use of pesticides represents a major challenge to the sustainability of agricultural systems, highlighting the need to strengthen integrated pest management strategies, environmental monitoring, and public policies aimed at protecting ecosystems and public health.

Authors: Jaramillo Quito, Johanna Elizabeth
Abstract: Abstract: The objective of this research was to develop and characterize a functionalized biopolymer based on gelatin and reinforced with natural psyllium (Plantago) fiber, in order to evaluate the influence of fiber incorporation on its physicochemical, mechanical, and structural properties, as well as its behavior with respect to biodegradation. Four formulations were prepared using the casting method, with citric acid as the functionalizing agent and glycerin as the plasticizer, at different fiber concentrations (0, 20, 50, 100% w/w). The resulting materials were characterized using Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), X-ray fluorescence (XRF), tensile testing, moisture content determination, water absorption testing, and biodegradability testing in soil and aqueous media. The results showed that the incorporation of Psyllium plantago modified the properties of the biopolymer, improving its mechanical and structural performance while preserving its biodegradability, suggesting that it has potential as a sustainable alternative for the development of biodegradable materials.
