Correlación clínica patológica y ecográfica de patologías de próstata en el Hospital Manuel Ygnacio Monteros periodo abril - octubre 2011

Abstract

The overall objective of this research was to analyze the symptoms of patients with prostatic pathology with sonographic and histopathologic diagnosis through review of the medical history in order to establish their relationship. Specific objectives are proposed to identify the main diagnoses of patients treated with prostatic disease, determine the major signs and symptoms in patients with prostatic disease and establish the sonographic and histopathologic diagnosis in patients with prostatic disease. It was a kind of study Descriptive - Quantitative -Transversal - Retrospective, the universe were male patients attending the Manuel Ygnacio Monteros Hospital, in the sample involved all patients diagnosed with prostate disease by clinical and sonographic - histopathologic diagnosis, with a population of 66 patients. Among the most significant prostatic pathology found benign prostatic hyperplasia and prostate cancer. In the study the most representative symptoms were urgency and the decrease in the size of the jet, none suffered anuria. The prostate pathology was more prevalent in the hospital Manuel Ygnacio Monteros during April-October 2011 which was correlated as a common diagnosis through analysis, determination and sonographic - histopathologic - clinical study was Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia.
