Evaluación del cumplimiento de la normativa materno infantil en el manejo activo de la tercera etapa del parto en el Hospital IESS Loja, durante el periodo marzo 2012-febrero 2013

Abstract

To evaluate the maternal and child compliance rules in the active management of the third stage of labor, at the mother center of the IESS Loja Hospital, during the period March 2012- February 2013. The study was descriptive, quantitative design, horizontal approach. The data were obtained from medical records, forms 005, 051, and postpartum notes of 379 patients who were admitted to the Mother and Child Hospital Center Manuel Ygnacio Monteros IESS Loja, in the period March 2012-February 2013. It was determined that in the active management, the uterotonic administration was performed in 86% of primigravid patients, 71% secondgravid patients, and 67% third gravid patients. Early clamping in 62% of primigravids, 58% secondgravids, and 62% thirdgravid patients. Controlled cord traction is 10% in primigravids, 8% secondgravids and 9% third gravid patients. Examining the placenta and membranes attached 43%, 62% and 63% respectively, and uterine massage is 30%, 46% and 41% respectively. It was concluded that the only points that were used in the active management of the third stage of labor are uterotonic administration and the early clamping.
