Abstract

In this research work, an analysis intra and intertextual works A country full of legends and Ecuador: Legends of our country, of the Ecuadorian author Graciela Eldredge, applying the theory of transtextualidad developed by Gerald Genette in Palimpsests. Second grade literature, to determine the hypertextuality in the works of this author. Structural, documentary and cultural aspects that inspired the writer, with much emphasis on elements such as the culture, customs, history and oral traditions of our peoples have also been established. In addition, showed values which, through literature, contribute to form people with positive attitudes regarding the preservation of our culture and customs, which are the heritage of our nation and which has allowed us to be recognized around the world, contributing to promote the value for our, the history of each of our peoples and what ever was performed as a means of integration of regions, building a better society with respect to the nature and laws.
