| Abstract: | Abstract:The main goal of the current study is to analyze the psychosocial variables related to drug consumption, and mental health in first and second graders of baccalaureate. For the current study, different surveys were applied to gather relevant information. Among the surveys applied we have: Perceive Stress Scale (PSS-14), Avoidance and Action Questionnaire (AAQ-7), Alcohol Use Disorders Identification Test (AUDIT), among others. The descriptive method was applied for this study; it allowed us to identify and analyze the psychosocial variables related to substance consumption. The 51 participants who responded to the questionnaires were first and second graders of baccalaureate from a public High school of the urban area of Loja city; participant ages fluctuated form 14 to 17 years. The results of the current study showed that alcohol and drugs consumption, in Loja city, is low; besides, it was determined that the psychosocial variables that affect teenager's mental health and influence them into substance consumption were stress, anxiety, depression, among others. |
| Description: | Resumen:El objetivo principal de esta investigación es analizar la Distribución de Variables Psicosociales Asociadas al Consumo de Sustancias y Salud Mental en Alumnos de Primero y Segundo de Bachillerato del colegio investigado. Para esta investigación se aplicó la técnica de encuesta, misma que permitió recolectar información necesaria para desarrollar el estudio. Los cuestionarios utilizados fueron: Variables Psicosociales, Estrés, Apoyo Social, Personalidad Tipo A, Inflexibilidad Psicológica, Resiliencia, Consumo Problemático de Alcohol y Drogas, entre otros. En este trabajo se empleó la investigación descriptiva que permite identificar y analizar las variables en los 51 estudiantes encuestados cuyas edades oscilaban entre los 14 y 17 años. Las principales variables que afectan la salud mental son: Estrés, Ansiedad, Depresión, soledad, etc., es decir, son varias las razones que llevan a un joven a verse tentado a consumir diferentes tipos de sustancias, aunque en la ciudad de Loja, en el establecimiento estudiado, el consumo de alcohol o drogas es bajo, siendo el primero el que afecta a más estudiantes. |
