Abstract

This research analyzes the subdivisions of Religious sets sixteenth to the seventeenth century, which initiated the setting of the city of Loja, at certain times, from the foundation in the sixteenth century to the present.

The theoretical and methodological analysis Splits framework is based on urban history, documentary and historical information of the religious groups of the Catedral, San Francisco, Santo Domingo and Concepcionistas, as well as the modification of the urban fabric.

Today many of these properties and buildings has been allocated to commercial places transforming its structure and functions within the city; why it has been relevant creation record and catalog containing thematic maps and plans of the divisions of religious groups, the same which aims to publicize the history of these buildings and raise public awareness about the importance to keep and preserve them so that in the future you can give them a proper use.
