Lineamientos urbanos inclusivos para centros comunitarios en la ciudad de Loja

Abstract

Abstract: Disability affects differently to each person, each one accepts and learns to live with his/her disability according to the meaning that the person gives to it. The meaning is the interpretation that the person makes of his/her personal, familiar and social reality. This project is developed in two stages, first: the understanding of the problematic and second, the urban inclusive proposal guidelines and an application exercise. The actions for the first stage are: a) the background review, the analysis of the legal framework and public policies; b) the analysis of disability and public policies of rehabilitation c) the assemblage of current accessibility standards in Ecuador and other countries. In the second stage, a general diagnosis is made, which allows to establish the basis for an inclusive urban design, to set out and to categorize the articulator's elements of public space, variables and criteria of application. Finally, as a desing exercise, the framework is applied to a public park of the city.
