Abstract

Abstract: The research project "Analysis of the Psychosocial Variables associated with the Mental Health in students of first and second high school levels 01D01/C01_02_07 " has been developed with the aim of analyze the distribution of psychosocial variables associated with alcohol and drugs and their impact on the mental health of teeneagers. This research is transversal, we applied the descriptive and statistical methods. The technique used was the survey, it was applied to a representative sample of high school students in the city of Cuenca, state of Azuay, pretending evaluate the sociodemographic variables, stress, psychological inflexibility, type A personality, loneliness, resilience, anxiety and depression and life satisfaction. The analysis of results reported that the investigated population has low risk variables loneliness and personality, stress variable manifests itself as neutral, while the protective variables detected are psychological flexibility, resilience, life satisfaction, so it is concluded that adolescents investigated have good mental health.
