Estrategias urbanas para la intervención en el barrio Los Tejares y la zona de transición del aeropuerto Ciudad de Catamayo

Abstract

This research aims to demonstrate the importance of controlling land use around the airport and city planning. The thesis project is developed in three phases, first: literature analogous to the case study; second: the diagnosis of the site and third: the proposal of urban strategies. In the first phase, by finding relevant literature regarding airports and their relationship with cities, urban strategies, and an analysis of urban growth of the city of Catamayo is determined that in many cases the cities are expanded a scattered way, leading to problems of spatial and social. In the second phase a diagnosis that is synthesized in the problems of the site is done. In the third phase, urban strategies arise as transition zone, public space, equipment, mixticidad of uses, green areas and mobility; maintaining and further strengthening the productive sector as the main economic source of households. Finally strategies are embodied in coherent scenarios and related to the current context of the neighborhood
