Abstract

Abstract: In the present investigation is exposed as main theme the architectural rehabilitation and as an exploration of the urban center of heritage interest of the rural parish of Santiago in the province of Loja, for which we have developed a theoretical and conceptual framework aimed at the to present concepts related to rehabilitation and intervention with regard to cultural and architectural heritage. Like any procedure Recovery, Conservation and Preservation of property for equity valuation to define the type of intervention that will be implemented to intervene each of the elements considered heritage is made. The delimitation of the study area supports the analysis and diagnosis in the parish generally and specifically in housing for greater emphasis on research of diseases and showing the most important architectural elements is developed. The work encompasses a comprehensive proposal that relates the preservation and use of vernacular architectural heritage through a series of criteria, techniques and guidelines aimed at rescuing the elements of the houses in the historic city center of the parish Santiago.
