Relación del cambio climático con la producción agrícola en la Provincia del Azuay

Abstract

In the province of Azuay there is a concentration in the production of certain crops that are traditional both for the economic activity and for the diet of its population, but in the last years the production has diminished. In order to know the causes of this decrease, we are looking for a correlation and statistical explanation of the yields associated to the climatic variables. The methodology used is to calculate and analyze the coefficient of correlation that is presented between the variables. The results obtained in this work show a negative relationship between the analyzed variables, the precipitation and temperature yields decrease the yield yields. Since we do not have much information, the inference is not robust, however, they are an important indication to find solutions in the shortest time possible. Policies focused on the Ecuadorian productive sector have regained emphasis in recent years for the development of agricultural production.
