Valoración de los servicios ecosistémicos de recreación y belleza escénica del Bosque Petrificado Puyango, 2015.

Abstract

The objective of the present work is to know the economic valuation of the environmental services through the willingness to pay of the tourists of the Petrified Forest Puyango (BPP) in the year 2015. The Contingent Valuation Method was used since it is the most used direct method for Valuing this type of services, the survey was conducted through a semi-structured survey of tourists visiting the forest. The data obtained were analyzed using an econometric model under the procedure of Ordinary Least Squares (OLS), the results show that the income level is the main variable that influences the DAP, additional was found that foreign tourists have high willingness to pay For the conservation of environmental services in relation to national tourists with 35%, regarding gender, women are those who show more concern for the environment by indicating that environmental services are of vital importance. It was also obtained through the average of the willingness to pay that the value of use of BPP services is $ 38.99.
