Abstract: The Technical University Particular of Loja was created in the presidency of Dr. Jose Maria Velasco Ibarra in the year of 1970, the first classes of the then incipient career of Civil Engineering and Economy began, the same one that had like seat the facilities of the remodeling A building that had been for decades abandoned and belonged to the Daniel Alvarez Burneo Foundation, now Technical Experimental College. These chambers were the real scene of the gestation of both the physical work of the brave Marist Brothers and the conception of all the artistic work that would later adorn our city. Among the enthusiasm and vision of Brother Santiago Fernández Garcia, the thrust Of the then Rector of the University Ing. Alejo Valdivieso, and the generous contribution of the young Architect Dr. Juan Andrés Flores, who had arrived in Loja, after completing his university studies in the old Europe, were those who designed and designed the new Campus Universitarlo , And together with the conception and integral planning of the Campus, the idea was born to create through muralism a new scenographic concept capable of delivering to Loja and the Pals the concept of "visual and scenic integration in architecture". We think that the mission envisioned by the pioneers of the development of our "Alma Mater" was achieved and perhaps surpassed by the dynamic development that the University has developed as it has spread not only within our country, but has arrived with its message and academic influence to all the world.
