Ventajas económicas que generan los métodos alternativos de solución de conflictos en la provincia de Imbabura

Abstract

Abstract:The main objective of the study was to determine the economic advantages generated by alternative means of conflict resolution, specifically mediation, in the province of Imbabura. The main results obtained reflect that in the case of civil matters the expense would be 8.83%; and, in family matters, it would be 11.34%, of what it would represent to do so through a normal judicial process. The mediation method in the province of Imbabura, was positively assimilated, currently has 7 fully registered offices, fulfilling 86% of agreements reached. From October 2013 to October 2015, the Ecuadorian State saved more than 10 million dollars, using this alternative to national conflict resolution. It is concluded that mediation is a valid alternative, not only because of the economic advantages it generates, but also because of the emotional and psychological advantages that add to the validity of this method; and that at the time may be more transcendental than the economic ones.
