Análisis sobre elementos de responsabilidad social en el Instituto de Postgrado de la Universidad Técnica del Norte

Abstract

At the moment the concept of Social Responsibility has acquired greater importance in the business and educational context. Higher Education Institutions are obliged to respond to the transformation needs of society by forming high quality professionals based on ethics and values. For the development of the present work of degree was taken into account the manual of first steps of university social responsibility. Initially the diagnosis was made about the current state of the Institute in relation to the subject under investigation: for which surveys were carried out on the Statutes of the Graduate Institute, in addition to interviews with the Institute authorities, according to the topics related with university social responsibility. With the results obtained a proposal for a University Social Responsibility Model was developed for this unit which encompasses actions and activities that involve all levels of the academy, so that all of its elements incorporate the actions currently carried out by the Institute and the new actions raised
