Diseño urbano-arquitectónico de espacio público mediante principios bioclimáticos en el barrio “Sto. Domingo de Guzmán” de la parroquia de “San José”, ubicado en el cantón Catamayo.

Abstract

The proposal was born with the purpose of rescuing the public space of the neighborhood Sto. Domingo de Guzmán of the parish "San José", that has become a residual space generating insecurity and bad image to the place. Through a participatory process and the use of sustainability indicators, an urban-architectural project is carried out that involves the adaptation of public spaces that present planning problems. This proposal is based on a plan of needs of the place such as sports facilities, public space, communal rooms, etc. Putting the infrastructure in operation to different users and public surrounding the sector. Due to its shape and planning, this space houses different types of uses that currently have no place in the place. It also aims to strengthen the central character of the place, generating an infrastructure that can become a social catalyst of the area and the city in general. At the same time, the design has economic and environmental optimization criteria using local materials for its construction, generating the least possible alteration in its natural environment, being efficient in environmental terms
