Abstract

This project aims to have a technical document summarizing the opinion of the citizens of Chinchipe Canton in the aspects of health, environment, water quality, gender equity, politics and citizen participation. A survey was carried out on 367 inhabitants of the canton of which 278 were applied in the cantonal headland and 89 in the rural area. It is clear that the inhabitants of the canton know exactly what is environment, but they do not have in-depth knowledge of how to treat and help it. Among the most important results is that most of the people living in the urban sector of Chinchipe Canton have almost all basic services such as: electricity, drinking water. Asphalt tracks, telephone line, vehicular access to their homes, etc. While in the rural part the lack of some of these services is notorious, since the respondents maintain that they do not have some very necessary basic services such as the use of drinking water, in other cases telephone line until vehicular access to their homes
