Abstract: In Ecuador, we need to know the reality of television as an information medium, formative, educational, entertainment, cultural and sports, as identified in Article 6 of the Communication Law. It should be noted that there is a great difference between the regions of Ecuador, due to the realities that arise from the geography, population density, social and commercial environment, as it happens in the cities of the Province of Napo, in the Amazonian East. In the present study we establish the supply - consumption relationship of the three local channels programming located in this province: TV Chaco in the city of El Chaco; Baeza Mink in the city of Baeza and Ally TV in the city of Tena, the latter is the only one that has an open signal; The other two channels have acquired rights with the form of audio and video subscription by legally authorized to generate local signal. In the midst of a wide range of national and international channels, local television is presented as opportunity to strengthen local proximity and identity, as well as other conditions required by the Communication Law. All this in a framework of waiting before the technological hanges that the television poses with the digital blackout
