Elaboración del Plan de Manejo Sustentable de los Recursos Naturales de la Comunidad Kichwa Juan Montalvo, Cantón La Joya de los Sachas

Abstract

The present investigation was carried out in the commune Juan Montalvo, Cantón Joya de los Sachas. Designing a Sustainable Management Plan for the natural resources for this community, using the existing baseline, performing the SWOT matrix, identifying the pressures that affect and / or alter the stability in this commune. Identifying established areas: primary forest, intervened forest, intervention areas and growing areas; the pressures are: destruction of habitats, improper forestry, advancement of the agricultural frontier, and excessive use of insecticides along the river and estuaries. Establishing viable and applicable training, programs and strategic subprograms, in accordance with the forestry regulations established by law, allowing local support and development, preserving identified natural resources; improving the quality of life of the inhabitants. Concluding that the established programs with the inhabitants of the zone have accessibility to the implementation with the aid of public and private institutions; the pressures that damage it have to do with the use and inadequate and incompatible management of the resources, recommending to implement the Sustainable Management Plan
