Análisis de la gestión turística del cantón Catamayo 2015-2021 y su incidencia en el crecimiento económico del cantón

Abstract

Abstract: The Catamayo canton in the province of Loja, is a big tourist and commercial reference due to many aspects it possesses:location, commercial movement, climate, gastronomy and tourist attractions. The management developed by the canton's municipal government is of vital importance due to its direct and indirect impact on the economic growth of its population. The cross-cutting nature of tourism allows us to analyze several impact and factors regarding that the management of the Tourism Coordination Office has had in the search for this development. The data collected were obtained through bibliographic research, which allowed us to demonstrate the plans, programs, and legal regulations that support the management of the current Coordination, and through semi-structured interviews with key actors in the public and private sector. These evidences, allowed to collect their criteria in various structured questions to measure the management of the GADMC and after analysis propose indicators for measuring sustainable tourism in three key components: environmental, socio-cultural and economic. In addition to a fourth complementary component to measure the quality and satisfaction of tourism in the territory.
