El mercado bursátil como una alternativa de financiamiento para las Pymes de Loja - Ecuador del año 2021

Abstract

Abstract: SMEs are characterized by having a small number of employees and a low level of income. This sector is of vital importance for Ecuador, since they contribute significantly to the country's economy, forming a majority part of the business structure and being the main generators of employment for Ecuadorians. Despite their importance, SMEs face various obstacles that prevent their development in the market, such as the scarce availability of resources and restrictions to financing sources. The objective of this study is to analyze the stock market as a financing alternative for SMEs in Loja Ecuador in the year 2021 and it was identified that most of the companies in Loja are constituted as limited companies, dedicated to construction activities, also banks were recognized as the traditional sources of financing; and it was found that the stock market from the perspective of costs, is a viable financing alternative; however, companies do not consider it, due to the lack of knowledge they have about this sector.
