| Abstract: | Abstract: The objective of this research work is to develop a proposal for the reactivation of the tourism sector in the Azogues canton post Covid - 19, with the purpose of improving the current situation of tourism. For this purpose, eight tourism opinion leaders of the canton were interviewed through a semi-structured interview with topics related to the tourism reactivation in the canton. The results showed that the situation of tourism in the canton is deficient, since there is no collective involvement of its actors, nor a tourism governance to establish joint action plans, it was considered to study new destinations, digital marketing and religious tourism as factors to reactivate tourism; in addition, strategies focused on training, digitization, and governance for the reactivation of tourism in the canton were established. The conclusion was that, in order to achieve a tourism reactivation in Azogues, it is necessary to implement the strategies proposed to establish a change of vision and mission related to the objectives set out in the tourism activity. |
| Description: | Resumen: El presente trabajo investigativo tiene como objetivo desarrollar una propuesta para la reactivación del sector turístico del cantón Azogues post Covid - 19, con el propósito de mejorar la situación actual del turismo. Para ello se ejecutó una entrevista a ocho líderes de opinión del turismo del cantón a través de una entrevista semiestructurada con temas referentes a la reactivación turística en el cantón. Los resultados dieron a conocer que, la situación del turismo en el cantón es deficiente, pues no existe un involucramiento de los actores de manera colectiva, tampoco una gobernanza turística para establecer planes de acción en conjunto, se consideró considerar nuevos destinos, el marketing digital y el turismo religioso como factores para reactivar el turismo; además, se establecieron estrategias enfocadas en la capacitación, digitalización, y gobernanza para la reactivación del turismo en el cantón. Llegando a la conclusión de que, para conseguir una reactivación turística en Azogues es necesario poner en ejecución las estrategias planteadas para establecer un cambio de visión y misión relacionada con los objetivos planteados dentro de la actividad turística. |
