Abstract: The present project called Studies and definitive design for the improvement and rehabilitation of the drinking water system for the El Saraque neighborhood, Quilanga parish, Quilanga canton, province of Loja, has the purpose of presenting the definitive studies to improve the level of quality of life of the habitants. Due to the lack of maintenance of the existing infrastructure, the basic drinking water services have deteriorated over the years, which is why this project consists of carrying out the studies of a Potable Water System that will offer the service to 48 families. For this, the design of each of the units that make up a drinking water system has been carried out, for an estimated time of 25 years, the community currently has 308 inhabitants, and a future population at the end of the design period of 395 inhabitants. . For the disinfection of the water, it was carried out using the Provichlor Tab 3 system, being economically profitable, it also includes the budget, technical specifications, valued work schedule and the Operation and Maintenance Manual of all the structures that are part of the water system. potable.
