Abstract: The theme of Social Constructivism and the pedagogical principles in the elaboration of the Institutional Pedagogical Proposal, provides for the teaching work in the Ecuadorian educational system, linked to the improvement of teaching-learning, the research approach starts from the problem question: What principles of Social Constructivism contribute to student learning in the foundation of the Institutional Pedagogical Proposal?, with the following general objective; To explain the contribution of Social Constructivism to student learning as the foundation of the Institutional Pedagogical Proposal, using a qualitative research methodology, with the document review technique, the relationship matrix of the Principles of Constructivism was applied as an instrument. recommends developing responsibly the future Pedagogical Proposals, as well as the search for future sources of information, it is also concluded that the preparation of the thesis project has allowed to know in depth the value of a Pedagogical Proposal to improve the educational task, to improve the teaching learning of the students, in short I am sure of its effectiveness and positive results as support for the teaching work.
