Abstract: The present research work called: Principles of constructivism in the Institutional Pedagogical Proposal of the New Life Christian Private Educational Unit, with the general objective of explaining the contribution of Social Constructivism to student learning as the basis of the Institutional Pedagogical Proposal presents very such as: the Pedagogical Proposal, Didactics, Pedagogy, Education, Learning, Curriculum, School, and Principles of Social Constructivism, addressing their definition and existing relationship between them, through analysis and comparison, the methodology used was the analysis of content, as a technique, the documentary review that allows the development and characteristics of the processes and instrument used the matrix, where the research was carried out based on the pedagogical proposal of said educational unit, a document that facilitated the identification of the pedagogical principles, with the purpose of check and view r what teaching-learning model the educational institution offers and its relationship with the principles proposed by social constructivism and its application, in order to recognize and provide the definition of each principle of constructivism within an educational institution.
