Abstract

Abstract: The present work called Principles of Constructivism in the Institutional Pedagogical Proposal of the Private School ''EFRATA'', which was carried out in the City of Quito, in the Province of Pichincha, has as general objective to provide information about the contribution of Constructivism towards the students' learning as a foundation of the Institutional Pedagogical Proposal. The first step was to request the current Institutional Pedagogical Proposal from the Educational Institution. Consequently, with the support of the content analysis method, it was possible to identify some aspects, among them the Guidelines for teaching-learning and the Guidelines for evaluation that are included therein. With the information obtained, it was identified that the educational institution is oriented towards the formation of the student and the appropriation of knowledge in a meaningful way, allowing the students to use their experiences to obtain new knowledge and the teacher to identify its importance in the educational task.
