El sistema de salud en Ecuador en el contexto del COVID -19(2019 -2022)

Abstract

Abstract: This work focuses on the Ecuadorian health system in the context of COVID -19, that is, between the years 2019 and 2022, seeking to characterize elements such as spending, supply, demand, financing and the establishments that make up this system within the country, to understand its behavior before, during and future perspectives, once the pandemic subsides. The study is descriptive, and the research design is documentary because an attempt has been made to investigate in an exhaustive, systematic and rigorous manner the sources of secondary information that provide information regarding the Ecuadorian health system in the indicated period. The work begins by developing the theoretical framework that supports the research, to advance to describe the situation of the country's health system before and during the pandemic, and finally focus on the country's perspectives in terms of health.
