| dc.description | Resumen: La movilidad laboral se ha convertido en un tema de gran relevancia en la actualidad, debido a la incidencia positiva en la transformación estructural de una economía, tanto en el lugar de residencia como en el de destino; jugando un papel importante en el desarrollo económico de una sociedad. En este sentido, el objetivo del presente estudio fue determinar las características individuales y cantonales que inciden en la decisión de los individuos de trasladarse de un cantón a otro, por motivos laborales. Se aplicó un modelo econométrico multinivel, con la información recopilada de la Encuesta Nacional de Empleo, Desempleo y Subempleo (ENEMDU) período 2019, pues permite trabajar con datos tanto a nivel individual como cantonal. Los resultados obtenidos indican que, en Ecuador los factores que inciden en la decisión de una persona de desplazarse de un lugar a otro por motivos laborales son: el género, la edad, el estado civil, la rama de actividad y el coeficiente de especialización, es decir, tanto características individuales como cantonales influyen significativamente en el commuting. | es_ES |
| dc.description.abstract | Abstract:Labor mobility has become an issue of great relevance nowadays, due to its positive impact on the structural transformation of an economy, both in the place of residence and in the place of destination, playing an important role in the economic developmentof a society. In this sense, the objective of this study was to determine the individual and cantonal characteristics that influence the decision of individuals to move from one canton to another for work reasons. A multilevel econometric model was applied, with information collected from the National Survey of Employment, Unemployment and Underemployment (ENEMDU) period 2019, since it allows working with data at both the individual and cantonal level. The results obtained indicate that, in Ecuador, the factors that influence a person's decision to move from one place to another for work reasons are: gender, age, marital status, branch of activity and the specialization coefficient, that is, both individual and cantonal characteristics have a significant influence on commuting. | es_ES |
