Abstract

Abstract: This project presents the final studies and designs for the improvement and expansion of the drinking water system of the El Limo parish, Puyango canton, Loja province, with the aim of improving the quality of life of the entire community, which lacks satisfactory basic services. For this, technical solutions are proposed that allow facing this problem with the implementation of designs and works according to the needs of the entire population. This project is subject to national regulations and seeks to guarantee quality and quantity of water for the entire population of El Limo. To meet the objectives, information was collected from the study zone, demographic analysis, application of socio-economic surveys, hydrological study, analysis of water quality from the source, hydraulic design of the conduction and distribution networks, and hydraulic design of existing units. As a result, a drinking water system was designed that allows supplying a total of 480 inhabitants with a design period of 20 years, which is capable of guarantee drinking water all year round. The project has a work budget and an operation and maintenance manual to guarantee the correct handling of all the units.
