Abstract

Abstract: This paper contains an analysis of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) created by the United Nations, for their implementation by governments, mentioning progress, limitations, and the importance of compliance. Then we have the objective related to our sentence, SDG 16, Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions, and its link with the sentence: C-303 issued by the Inter-American Court of Human Rights. The main methodology was the file, as well as, the method of analysis and synthesis mainly. A study of the legal and doctrinal norms of the rights protected in SDG No. 16 is also carried out, with the research of international norms, as well as legal references of international, legal and doctrinal instruments. Finally, the reality of the matter of preference and implementation in the current law, verifying the legal-social contribution of the study conducted for the law, focused on sustainable development. This study relating a sentence and SDGs, as well as its linkage, methodology, regulations and current reality, has had relevance focusing on international law, and has synthesized shortcomings and corrections of the legal system, for its study and learning.
