Identificación de problemáticas socio ambientales en la parroquia Chaguarpamba, del cantón Chaguarpamba

Abstract

Abstract: Non-renewable natural resources are in a very advanced state of degradation, resulting in the alteration of ecosystems, the main cause of this situation being anthropogenic action, particularly on the soil, vegetation cover, and water quality and quantity. The objective of this research work was to determine the main socio-environmental problems in the parish of Chaguarpamba. In order to achieve this objective, surveys were applied to adults to find out the percentage of inhabitants who consider that there are socio-environmental problems and the natural resource that is most affected; Information was obtained regarding the actions that have been taken with respect to the problems identified. The majority of residents are aware of the socio-environmental problems that affect the parish of Chaguarpamba; soil was identified as the most affected, and this resource is threatened by contamination due to inadequate solid waste management. Based on these results, an environmental education proposal was designed for the Autonomous Decentralized Government of the Chaguarpamba Canton to mitigate the main problems identified.
