Abstract

Abstract: Productive territorial development is the set of different economic activities that strengthen the productive growth of a particular economy, under the protection of regulations determined by the State. In this perspective, studying the productive territorial development of Zone 7 is important. The main objective of the document is to analyze the productive territorial development of the provinces that make up Zone 7, through the analysis of its productive dynamics that will serve to identify the economic activities with greater or lesser preponderance and, in turn, verify if the activities most relevant economic ones are generators of employment. The index of economic specialization is also determined. The results obtained show that the economic activities that strengthen productive growth and employment are: Wholesale and retail trade, repair of motor vehicles and motorcycles, accommodation activities, among others. Likewise, the province of El Oro presents a high specialization in the tertiary sector, in the secondary sector Zamora Chinchipe and, finally, in the primary sector Zamora Chinchipe and Loja.
