Abstract: In 1960s social housing reaches is fullness in Loja city, this became in the emergence of new public and private entities whit renewed housing policies, which one became in the beginning of the social housing program. With the target of analyzing and identifying the characteristics, strategies and problems within social housing, as a study case in considered the housing complex LosGeranios , where an evaluation in applied in the urban, architectural, technological and resource flied, determining the problems of habitability in houses, put forth the development of a progressive and flexible housing prototype that allows be modified by families according to their requirement and increase.
