Propuesta de sistema de gestión ambiental en beneficio del aprovechamiento forestal y agropecuario del cantón Rumiñahui

Abstract

Abstract: The current economy, the commercial movement and the progress resulting from a consequence of industrialization, generating a large population growth that brings with it the evolution of excessive and uncontrolled consumption behaviors. In turn, among other consequences evidenced are environmental pollution, as well as the destruction of the habitat of flora and fauna. That is why the development of this study was born; which has the objective of preparing a proposal for an Environmental Management System that promotes adequate management of forestry and agricultural use in the Rumiñahui canton. The same that is fulfilled under the development of the specific objectives, such as; studying the theoretical foundations that involve the approach of an Environmental Management System; determine the environmental policies that allow achieving the fulfillment of the objectives and goals in environmental matters; and specify the steps to follow for the creation of an EMS by performing a gap analysis. For which a documentary and field bibliographical methodology was indispensable; with the help of a survey technique as an instrument of primary data collection. Concluding that it is necessary to create an environmental management system according to the current needs of the community of the Rumiñahui canton; especially its two rural parishes, which are those that are located on the edge of the agricultural frontier and therefore the forest area.
