| Abstract: | Abstract: This research refers to the analysis of Development Objective No. 16, verifying the importance of linking the subject of Human Rights with SDG 16, with the purpose of promoting peaceful and inclusive societies that allow society to live in a environment of peace, with access to justice in institutions at all levels. According to the analysis carried out of the sentence and objective SDG 16, the sentence of the Constitutional Court of Ecuador regarding the case is confirmed, which is related to access to health, the same that was denied to a minor with a disability by the Ecuadorian Institute of Social Security (IESS), when by right it corresponded to be attended without any pretext. That is when the State needs initiatives to completely eradicate these discriminatory situations, access to health, through more efficient financing of health systems, improve sanitation and increase access to medical services, to achieve a significant progress and save the lives of many people. |
| Description: | Resumen: La presente investigación hace referencia del análisis del Objetivo de Desarrollo Nro.16, comprobando la importancia que tiene vincular la materia de los Derechos Humanos con el ODS 16, con el propósito de fomentar sociedades pacíficas e inclusivas, que permitan que la sociedad viva en un ambiente de paz, con acceso a la justicia en instituciones de todos los niveles. De acuerdo al análisis realizado de la sentencia y objetivo ODS 16, se confirma la sentencia de la Corte Constitucional del Ecuador en torno al caso, que se relaciona con el acceso a la salud, el mismo que fue negado a un menor de edad con discapacidad por parte del Instituto Ecuatoriano de Seguridad Social (IESS), cuando por derecho le correspondía ser atendido sin ningún pretexto. Es ahí cuando el Estado necesita de iniciativas para erradicar por completo estas situaciones discriminatorias, al acceso a la salud, a través de la financiación más eficiente de los sistemas de salud, mejorar el saneamiento y aumentar el acceso a los servicios médicos, para lograr un progreso significativo y salvar la vida de muchas personas. |
